Scribd is the first big doc upload website. It has been around since 2007. Some months ago started a "buy to read" service.
It is really interesting for marketers to take advantage of it. They keep 20% over sales and the setup is free.
Scribd is also a great source of traffic, as you can see in the following slide show.
We detail the registration process until the first doc upload, and show you the must have requirements community-wise. You will also see some stats: after one hour of having a doc uploaded, it had 29 reads already. Not bad at all.
